AIAA/IEEE Electric Aircraft Technologies Symposium (EATS) Logo Design Contest - Deadline Extended

Submission Period:
 ends on 31 March 2023. The sponsor's server is the official clock for the Contest (EDT). Entries received after the entry period are void.

How To Enter: The entrant must submit a possible logo to the submission form: enter your personal data and contacts and describe their design in no more than 200 characters. You must submit in digital format (ai, jpg, pdf, png, tif), maximum file size of 5MB.

Designs must include the following a clear reference to the electric aircraft technologies.   All entries must be original. No copies of other designs or use of stock is permitted. Use of third party intellectual property, including stock art, will result in immediate disqualification.  Finalists will be subject to trademark clearance searches. Should a design not pass such a search, at the sole discretion of AIAA and IEEE, the entry shall be disqualified.

Please note the logo should not include the AIAA, IEEE, or TEC logo in the concept, the concept should represent the symposium itself.  

LIMIT THREE (3) ENTRIES PER PERSON.

Only entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules will be eligible for consideration. No alternate means of entry are permitted. All entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

In order to win the contest, the entrant must assign all rights, title, and interest in the logo to AIAA and IEEE. Failure to complete such an assignment shall result in disqualification. Entrant understands and agrees that AIAA and IEEE, at their sole discretion, may modify the winning logo.

This contest is open to all active AIAA and IEEE members.

Prize: The prizes for the Contest are being sponsored by AIAA AVIATION FORUM. The winner’s registration fee to EATS @ AVIATION will be covered.

Eligibility: The contest is open to residents of the United States of America and other countries, where permitted by local law, who are the age of eighteen (18) and older. Employees of Sponsor, its agents, affiliates, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter the Contest. Entrants may be subject to rules imposed by their institution or employer relative to their participation in contests and should check with their institution or employer for any relevant policies. Void where prohibited by law.

Selection of Winners: EATS steering committee will choose the winner.

Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in this contest, entrants agree to abide by the terms and conditions thereof as established by the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to alter any of these Official Rules at any time and for any reason. All decisions made by the Sponsor concerning the Contest including, but not limited to the cancellation of the Contest, shall be final and at its sole discretion.

Notification of Potential Prize Winners: The Prize Winners will be notified by e-mail within 14 days of the selection date. If a Prize Winner does not acknowledge acceptance of the Prize within 14 business days after being notified that he or she is a Prize Winner, or if a potential Prize Winner does not return the signed claim forms within the required time, or is otherwise found to be ineligible or not in full compliance with these Official Rules, another Prize Winner will be chosen using the same procedure specified above. Potential Prize Winner may be asked to execute and return to Sponsor a declaration of eligibility and liability/publicity release, where lawful, within fourteen (14) days of attempted notification. The winner may waive the right to receive the prize. The decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding in all respects.

The Prize Winner shall be required to assign all intellectual property rights in the winning design to  AIAA and IEEE. Failure to assign such rights to AIAA and IEEE shall result in disqualification and a new Prize Winner being named.
