This competition is to encourage communication and provide exposure for peers in the thriving transportation electrification arena, the TEC education committee will hold an Electric Vehicle Design Competition!
- Team formed by a minimum of 3 participants, with at least 1 IEEE TEC member/participant
- Participants should be advanced undergraduate or graduate students
- Aim: Examine your design concept, efficiency, innovation and impact
- Content: Light vehicle, Racing Car, Formula-E, Electric golf car, E-bike, E-scooter, E-truck, E-vessel, E-drone or E-aircraft
Prizes will be awarded:
- $1000 for Best Overall
- $500 for the Most Innovative
- $300 for the Most Implementable
It’s a chance for you to group up and start your first step to realize your idea in mind!

Submission Details
- Names of the team members, full name of institutes, IEEE membership numbers, contact information, supervisor names and contact
- At least 4 page reports including the design, contribution, impact, photos, performance, and a short video
Guidelines for the submission:
- The video must first start with the title, name of the team members and institutes.
- The presentation must be in English
- Submission of 4 pages must be in English
Intellectual Property and Copyright
- In order to be eligible, the applicant should sign a form to express the consent that the video may be published by IEEE TEC and assure that the video does not contain otherwise copyrighted or confidential material.
- Use of copyrighted materials must be avoided. Proper citations/references to the materials should be included, including your own publications. It is the applicant’s responsibility to resolve any copyright issues before submission
- Consult your supervisor or project sponsor to clear any copyright/IP issues
