Eduardo Pilo Bio

Eduardo Pilo (SM’14) received his PhD degree in ICAI (Engineering School of the Pont. Univ. of Comillas, Madrid, Spain) in 2003. From 2003 he has been involved in different research and consulting projects in the field of railways and power systems. From 2003 to 2010, he served as a researcher in the Institute for Research in Technology (Comillas), as the responsible of the research projects related with traction power systems. From 2010 to 2012, he worked for the electrical industry as a consultant of the company Multitest. In 2012, he founded his own company, EPRail (http://www.eprail.com), focused on providing research and consultancy services in the field of power systems in railways. His main interests include the analysis of railway power systems, the optimization of their design and operation and the conception of the next-generation railway smart grids.
